Arrival Day

Arrival in Oslo. Today, you will meet your group leader and other members of a group. Then, you will get some free time for sightseeing in Oslo. Dinner in the hotel.

Oslo

Today, your entire day will be dedicated to getting acquainted with the Norwegian capital. Discover the landscapes and surroundings of Oslo, which inspired many animation movie directors and scriptwriters. Pay a visit to the famous Akershus Fortress, which served as an inspiration to the creation of Arendelle. Just there, you will see the tiny ponds that might remind you of the workers who used to cut there ice blocks in the movie Frozen.
With our guide, you will hear all the stories and explore the hidden gems of the city, which are directly connected to Frozen. Eventually, you will end up at Folkemuseet, where you will dive into the atmosphere of the past and fairy tales. There, you will explore the northern building techniques dating back to as early as the 11th century. Many of the museum’s buildings have been preserved for centuries and brought there from different parts of Norway.
You will have lunch at Folkemuseet. After that, free time for sightseeing in Oslo and dinner. Optionally, you can visit the city’s famous Ice Bar.

Jotunheimen - Lom

Today, you will start your way to the famous Lom National Park Village, a high-altitude area where you can literally touch the sky. The road lies through the scenic mountain plateau of Valdresflya, the views, and landscapes of which you will be enjoyed on your way.
As soon as you approach the Jotunheimen National Park, you will notice how the wildlife changes – you might even spot reindeers if you are lucky enough. Actually, this is the most southern area in Norway with a population of reindeers. After the mountain road takes you to an altitude of 1,300 meters above the sea level, the landscape will dramatically change – the trees will become more and more seldom until they eventually disappear. It’s precisely the area where Peer Gynt – you might hear a story about him during the trip – rode a reindeer.
During this trip, you will make several stops to shoot photos of those fantastic views. Also, you will have a chance to taste some Norwegian specialties, such as Rakfisk (slightly fermented trout), Spekemat (cured meat), or a selection of local cheese. You will also have a stop for lunch. In Lom, you may visit the Lom Stave Church. Stay overnight in Lom.

Activity Day

This day will be full of activities. At first, you will embark on a guided tour, which would bring you to the foot of the Galdhøpiggen Mount. During this tour, you will learn about the region’s hunting traditions, geology, and biology. You will have a chance to visit the magnificent glaciers before they melt and disappear. At the end of the tour, you will make your way through the human-made 70-meter long ice tunnel, which was carved in the 7000-year-old ice and which was designed by Peder Istad, an artist.
After a lunch break, you may choose one of the optional activities: Moose Safari, Riverboarding, Ducky, and Ducky Family Trip. Then, return to and have dinner at the hotel. Stay overnight in Lom.

Drive to Ålesund

Today, you will drive from Lom to Ålesund, thus finally reaching the west coast of Norway. The road will lie across the mountains again, and it might even snow around. On your way, you might want to make a stop to play snowballs or even make your own Olaf! Also, look at the countless waterfalls that you will see from your window – some of them are nowadays used for power supply in Norway. You will make a stop at Buldrefossen, a stunning waterfall in the region of Sogn og Fjordane.
Later, you will make a stop at Loen, where you can use a cable car to get to the top of a mountain and get an impressive view of the city, mountains, and fjords. There will also be a café where you can have lunch. Then, you will resume your journey to Ålesund, while marveling at the breathtaking views of the fjords and landscapes. If you look attentively at sea, you might even spot dolphins and whales.
Eventually, you will arrive in Ålesund – a true gem of Norway; a city was built on the sea. After hotel check-in, have some free time for sightseeing till the dinner at the hotel. Stay overnight in Ålesund.

Farm and puffins

Today, you will visit Ytste Skotet, an old farm that is located at an altitude of 225 meters above the sea level. There is no road but only a negligible path – this may remind you of Anna from Frozen, who tried to get to Elsa and struggled against the elements of nature.
At that farm, you will understand how the life was there a century ago and what challenges the people who had lived there had. No electricity, no easy access with elevators… In these areas, locals had to put ropes around their children so that they wouldn’t fall off the cliffs. Alternatively, you can decide to explore the city on your own, instead of heading to Ytste Skotet together with the group.
After the lunch, you will embark on a wildlife sea safari tour – this tour is a great deal of adrenaline combined with sightseeing and storytelling in the fjords. Your captain will narrate you the stories of local adventure, and you should surely bring your camera to capture the beauty of the local places. You will also visit a seal colony and Rhude Island, known as a home to over 500,000 birds and puffins.
Upon the end of the tour, come for dinner at the hotel restaurant or the Sjøbua restaurant. Stay overnight in Ålesund.

Visit Geiranger

Today, you will depart from Ålesund to Geiranger, and you will also drive to a secret location very few people know of. You already have seen fjords and waterfalls, but this time you will make a stop near a beautiful and very special lake, which conceals a secret. If you pay enough attention, you might notice the remains of houses at the bottom of the lake, and the crystal water cannot conceal it – our guide will tell you the story about how appeared this way.
You may also notice the beautiful, wild green valley. That all ends up at Hjørund fjord, which widely considered to be the most beauteous fjord on the planet. After that, you will embark on a ferry cruise from Hellesylt to Geiranger, which is recognized as one of the most beautiful fjord cruises in Norway.
Eventually, you will end up in Geiranger, a small village with a fantastic location, which makes it well protected against the elements. The villages in this area had been often isolated in winter, as they could be reached only by boat – not an option when the water is frozen. Hotel check-in and stay overnight at Geiranger.

Return to Oslo

Today, you will have a hearty breakfast at the hotel and, then, start your way to Otta, a small Norwegian town, on a comfortable coach. In Otta, you will take a train back to Oslo. After getting transferred to the hotel, you will have a gala dinner at Frognerseteren, a spectacular historical place on the highest hill in Oslo. There, you will have a chance to taste delicious Norwegian meals, while professional musicians dressed in the traditional Norwegian costumes will provide the accompaniment. Besides, there is the Troll Castle right near the restaurant.
Stay overnight in Oslo.

Departure home

This is the departure day – it is time to say goodbye to Norway. However, you can prolong your vacation by staying a few extra days in the Norwegian capital.
